Many people like to use the phrase "hand made" or 'Hand Crafted". When in reality only one step of their process may actually be done by hand. Usually the finishing or assembly. They do this to add "value" to their machine made goods.
With my creations you will not find that. Here every item is Hand Turned.
Each item starts out as a block of raw material. Which is then measured, cut, drilled, cored, and turned by yours truly. Having a pair of wood lathes, each item will be taken from that initial block shape down to its final looks using a variety of hand held wood chisels. Turning by hand goes as much by feel as it does by sight and sound. With the material relaying information through the chisel and into your hands. A bonding of material and man. The material will say when it feels right, or when things are not going so well. This bonding makes each piece I turn special and unique. Which I why I endeavor to make each and every one as beautiful as it has the potential to be.
Each turned to shape accessory then goes thru hand sanding as well as hand finishing. With the final stop being polished on a three stage buffing wheel assembly. Once turned, finished, and polished the tool assembly begins. All by hand, start to finish.
